Karnataka Government is working in a big way to promote Indian systems
of medicine – Ayurveda, Yoga and naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and
Homoeopathy (AYUSH) to provide holistic health care to the people

Karnataka Government is committed to promoting yoga and Indian systems
of medicine in the State. Apart from setting up a Yoga and Naturopathy
Council, it has resolved to allot 10 per cent of the health budget in a
phased manner to promote Indian systems of medicine.
Hospitals
in districts and local bodies across Karnataka will provide the Indian
system of medicine as an alternative treatment, Chief Minister D V
Sadananda Gowda said at the first-ever International Conference on Yoga
