PERSPECTIVE
FREEDOM is a word that means different things to different people, depending on the context of their lives. In this country, before 1947, azadi meant freedom from British rule. We believed we would be free if the British went away. They did go away. August 15 remains a significant day for this reason. Politically, we are free, but freedom continues to be an issue. As long as an individual experiences himself within limitations, freedom will be an issue. There is something within a human being that dislikes boundaries. However big the boundary, the moment he touches it, he wants to break it – there is something within us that longs to become boundless. Read more..
