The Delhi rape case has opened a Pandora’s Box
and thankfully, one of the most hotly debated topics today is
improvement in the criminal justice system
The
recent Delhi rape case can certainly be regarded as a watershed event in
the history of Indian sensibility towards crime and criminals. As a
citizen of this nation, most of us had got used to our daily bouts of
crimes of different kinds, but the public reaction, ably and justifiably
fuelled by media, ensured the coming together of people from their
comfortable cocoons and raising their voices against crime, criminals
and societal disorders.
It is no wonder
that the report by a judicial committee came out much before the
