With these words spoken
in the afternoon of September 29, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Director General
Military Operations, summarised what happened across the border like a
professional soldier that he is. He added that during counter-terrorist
operations, significant casualties have been caused to the terrorists and those
trying to support them. He was emphatic when he said: “the operations aimed at
neutralising the terrorists have since ceased. We do not have any plans for
continuation of further operations.”
