Historic
Royal Dublin Society was aesthetically decorated in the first week of June to
host the 72nd International Air Transport Association (IATA) annual
general meeting (AGM) at Dublin, Ireland. $709 billion Air Industry with an
estimated profit $39.4 billion this year and representing over 260 airlines
accounting for 83 per cent of global air traffic, Dublin AGM was splendid by
all means. Air should make more money than previously expected this year,
helped by low oil prices and effort by airlines to fill planes and drive
ancillary revenues. This was the second time the IATA AGM was organised
in Ireland—the first being in 1962.
