Every Member of Parliament has to make and
subscribe to an oath or affirmation, before taking his seat in Parliament, that
he will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution, that he will uphold
the sovereignty and integrity of India and that he will faithfully discharge
the duty upon which he is about to enter.
